At 4:32 when you lift the tile with the hammer, the tile next to it lifts as well, which is not good ? I suggest break the tile in tiny pieces all over before prying to avoid damage to the other grout lines / tiles.

No other tile were loosened in the process, the camera was on a wood floor/tiled so maybe it looked that way. And yes your way will work too, didn't want this to be an hour long though.

PoisoneDrummer : at 5:39, I saw a tile lift when turning the chisel. There is definitely a difference in sound when tapping on tiles with the stud finder effect. Loose tiles will be hollow sounding and solid tiles have a dense thump.

it's obvious the tile to the left got lifted at 4:32-35. at 4:36 the grouting even blew out

Could a piece of tile be heated with a heat gun, melting the adhesive behind it, so you could pull it out instead of breaking it apart? Thanks!

NO. It wont work because tile ahesisive is not glue. Its basicly concrete so heating it up doesnt do anything.

The biggest fear I have is the job "snowballing". In other words, getting larger and more complex with every thing I do. Admittedly I have never looked at the tile as closely as I have since I started watching you. Now I have found that several of the tiles on the curb are in deed cracked. Of course they are on the inside of the curb where I wouldn't necessarily pay attention to anyway.
