This video shows you how to install a new PCV valve hose on your 2001-2007 Ford Escape. The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve is responsible for managing the pressure within the crankcase of the engine. Excessive pressure can interfere with efficient operation. If the valve is clogged or otherwise damaged, you may experience poor running conditions in your vehicle.

Seen other videos for this same job. This is the best one I’ve seen yet and will definitely refer to it during my 2007 escape Pcv job. The only part missing here is the complete remove and replacement of the PCV valve itself with the retaining clip also.

Excellent step by step for the hose replacement. Found the hose collapsed and sucking air on my 4 cyld. just replaced the PCV valve at the same time.

Aye yai yaii.....all of this to replace a pcv valve? I wanted to replace as preventative maintenance but think I'll wait till ivalve goes kerplunk....And then I will dread doing it. Maybe before then the car will die and I'll have to buy another....jeez louise....One can only hope.
