Great 'how to' video. Though, I like how you cleaned the radiator fan but not the air filter and housing, which looked pretty awful. Sure, irrelevant to the radiator replacement, but still noteworthy on a repair.

Drained the coolant twice…once from the wheel well, second time from above after removing fan…😂
@markkroehler80163 жыл бұрын
While I appreciate all of the videos you guys put out, why did you re-attach the hoses before putting the fan assembly back in? Just complicates things and wasn't necessary.
@thetalkingboard Жыл бұрын
Sometimes they reuse footage for replacement of other parts. If you only want to replace the fan housing, you would do it this way. Now they don’t have to record multiple videos for different parts. Like magic.

How would I know which configuration radiator I need (I.e. with only trans cooler or with trans and engine oil cooler). 2007 Chevrolet Suburban.
@rob.-_-. Жыл бұрын
If you have two small lines going in on the drivers side of your current radiator then you need the version with the oil cooler fittings. If not, then you need the one without.

So in the very beginning u show removing fender well and removing lower hose, then later in the video after u remove the shrowd u then remove the lower radiator hose again at around the 9:57 mark, your video is messed up and confusing as far as that part goes. Looks as if the part of taking tire off and fender well was all unnecessary.

Exactly what I was thinking... I have a 2003 and it don't look like that... so this whole video is kinda wrong and confusing

Can I use a 1”thick radiator. The existing is 1”1/4 07 Chevy suburban? Thanks

if your temperature gauge stays at 0 after the replacement? Remove the "ECM-BATT" fuse for 10 seconds, that should fix it.

I purchased a radiator from 1A auto. No problems at all except the fitting for the top tranny cooler line is leaking I’m hoping it’s just the o -ring that is bad. I’m gonna swap it out from my old radiator. Check o-rings on the tranny cooler line fitting before installing the new radiator

Great video. The bottom transmission line was seized on mine. I found taking the fan shroud off allows more access. Feels good saving money, thanks for the great tutorial!

I need the smaller hose that you remove that goes from the radiator “to the top of the engine” but you don’t say what it is. Do you sell this hose? What is it called? Thanks.
@mack606 Жыл бұрын
Great video but you don’t have to remove the whole fan they did that because that’s new replacement just unhook both fan connections and remove the 13mm bolts and it slides back enough to remove the radiator

@@1AAuto I think I will do the same. Also thinking after this procedure we'd need to add more transmission fluid as well right? Since the part that was in the old radiator would be missing in the new one by that much.
