Only thing i would change is you don't need to remove the fan... the fan shroud comes apart in two pieces... remove the bottom half then the top half. You can pull the radiator out without removing the fan.

I remember this from another video, where he replaced the power steering pump, my guess is her recorded two videos in one day and messed up on the editing.

You don't need to remove the fan to remove the shroud. Unhook the bottom first then work the top.Take off the shroud and fan assembly out at the same time. I did it. If I can do it anyone can.

As thorough as he was, he didn't show bolting the fan back on. I hope he did before he fired it up!

For all my 2005+ xterra brothers/sisters out there, please for the love of Jesus replace the oem radiator with an aftermarket one! It will save you thousands for a new tranny down the road. Invest in $250 parts and labor now and not spend 2k on a new trans when the smod if death comes.

Why the power steering fluid?

Sheesh, I can see why it costs so much to have this done at a service shop. I broke the radiator overflow when trying to get the overflow hose off when doing a flush.

Thank you for this video. It made this easy. That dang funnel is 45 bucks but probably worth it. But please answer on what's up with the power steering thing. I did it but laughed because I didn't know why.

Why did he mess with the power steering fluid. I don't get it. I thought he was going to talk about loosing tranny fluid in case you loose some when taking of the lines on the bottom.

I followed this "professional" video to install my radiator this last weekend mistakenly added a small amount of transmission fluid to the steering fluid reservoir as a result. Luckily this will likely NOT damage the vehicle. However, this video is not Trustworthy, Reliable or of any Quality. It should be removed or corrected. The Transmission fluid is not hard to replenish, but the instructions about it featured here are completely wrong. That they have posted this tutorial and left uncorrected demonstrates a lack of care and professionalism. Viewers Beware.
