@jackhume45323 жыл бұрын
Only positives from myself, I have always liked the mk 3 panda and maybe 🤔 at some point I would like to have a test drive and possibly purchase one and with 4 wheel drive , however the work that you’ve done on your vehicle 🚗 seems to be really easy to do so yeah you did a great video with no long winded explanations of what you were doing and the camera angles were spot on and I would to see some more like it please.

Thanks very much for this video. Ive been thinking about changing the rear shocks and springs on our Panda Cross. Thanks for sharing and keep em coming
@LastOfTheLookers13 жыл бұрын
The only difficult bit is fitting the new springs but it just takes muscle rather than skill or experience. It's an easy job only requiring simple hand tools so go for it!
@GrandadBaz3 жыл бұрын
@@LastOfTheLookers1 I have some straps that I use when removing coil springs and refitting them. They worked on Land Rover Discovery springs so they shouldn't have any problems with the Panda ones. Where did you get the Springs and Shocks from?
@LastOfTheLookers13 жыл бұрын
@@GrandadBaz KYB springs from Autodoc, B4 shocks from Bilstein

Well done! Did you use standard height shock absorbers with this lift spacers?
@LastOfTheLookers13 жыл бұрын
Yes the springs are made by KYB and are the ones recommended for a stock Panda 4x4. The shocks are Bilstein B4's and are for a stock Panda 4x4 straight from the Bilstein website.

Just looking for inspiration as my 4x4 panda has a funny noise on the rear I think its nsr its like a horses hoof trotting ? wheel bearing ? CV joint ? brake calliper ? just replaced the centre prop shaft bearing ... it maybe the tyre but its a brand new ? ... been stood for a few months since winter which probably doesn't help

Very nice mate ❤ I plan to get one of these,just wonder if yours have diff lock? Can you go off road with no diff lock 4x4 panda? Becoz the one I plan to get have no diff lock
@UKPanda4x4 Жыл бұрын
No Pandas have locking diffs. The Mk4s and some Mk3s have ELD (electronic locking differential) which uses the ABS system to simulate a locking diff or LSD but both differentials on all Pandas are open. They cope just fine off road as you can see from our videos 👍

Im gonna get a panda like this one. I have a panda 1.4 but I really like the idea of a 4x4 panda. I would like to turn it into a rally/track car What’s the widest tyre size that would fit with enough clearance?
@UKPanda4x43 жыл бұрын
The width of a tyre is only one factor. You need to consider the tread height, wheel width, tyre profile and whether or not you want to use hub spacers or not. www.willtheyfit.com is a great site for researching non standard wheel/tyre options. There is only so much research you can do before you need to just fit a tyre and see if it works.

@UKPanda4x42 жыл бұрын
There was no TwinAir Mk3 (169). You would need a Mk4 (319). Our Facebook group is the best place for information. Use the search function as many people have asked this question before.

Great video,well explained in a chilled-clear way. Keep on that way please! Some (and always many) questions regarding the lift since I am in the process of fitting them and therefore I search for the realistic truth. Do you have any noticeable drawbacks regarding camber angles, shortage of driveshafts, degradation of bushings/ball-joints/bearings, increased bump-stop noises? If so are there any remedies to the above e.g camber-bolts, lubricating joints more often, etc.? What about the ARB, is it better to use spacers for it as well? Many cheers
@UKPanda4x43 жыл бұрын
Camber is not great, with road tyres on, I get heavy wear on the outside of the front wheels. I haven't looked at fixing this as the car doesn't do many miles. The OSF driveshaft hits the control arm with a 30mm lift. 20mm is the recommended maximum from my point of view. The anti roll bar also hits the control arms on both sides, I have some shorter droplinks to be fitted to try and raise the ARB a bit to give more clearance. On compression the suspension is very smooth with no harsh bottom out (new Bilstein shocks all round and new springs)
