Everybody always shows the drivers side being done. What about the passenger side? I went to add some adjustable control arms to mine this weekend cause I'm tired of going through tires on my 06 mazda 3 sedan and I started with the passenger. I couldn't even get at the upper bolt. There was a bracket in the way. I even have the dealer service manual for the car and it doesn't show how to get at it. How do you do you get to the upper bolt on the passenger side?

Rick push the metal bracket out of the way. Agreed though way to show the easy side.

Why are you not putting weight on suspension to put all bushings in neutral alignment before tightening them to spec? The loaded bushings, once the vehicle is down, will put constant tension, thus reducing bushing life.

The repair manual has you removing the entire rear subframe. I said F that. I straight up bent the recirculation pump bracket far enough out of my way that I could use a wrench on the bolt. It took me probably 2 hours of cursing like a sailor and getting cut and bruised up. I would recommend a ratchet wrench. Edit. I also recommend removing the shock absorber so you have leverage and don't have to reach around it.

17 mm socket therefore its an m12 bolt torque setting for a coarse thread is 85nm plus 5nm for a fine thread 95 to 100 nm.

Didn't torque any bolts up to spec?
@1AAuto4 жыл бұрын
+Dennis Weinstein The tech is torquing to spec, but he doesn't mention what that is. We'll pass along the feedback.

What is the torque speck for the cars? Talked about the lug nut but not the actual arm
@drewbush65352 жыл бұрын
I just got my car back from getting a wheel alignment at a Mazda dealer. They told me no rear camber adjustment.. but there was. On top of that it made noises after they were done. I looked at it found the nut is loose! Hope to get a refund! No one takes pride in there work anymore🥺😫

So you aren't going to torque down the supdownsion components.

Clip says 04-2014, For the 2014 Mazda 3 rear end is different you need to drop the subframe to access the top bolt for the upper control arm. It’s a pain in the a** just to remove one bolt🤦🏼♂️
