This video must have all these extra steps with disconnecting the battery and interior door panel controls for liability issues. I appreciate the info very much but all I needed to do is pop the hand rail cover (seen in the video), loosen the 2 screws inside the handle to pull the door off the lip of the frame (also in the video). But once the door panel was dangling, I didn't disconnect the 3 interior door connections, I just popped the plastic cover on the inside of the side mirror, removed the 3 screws holding the mirror assembly disconnected the wire going to the mirror and then replaced it with the new one. I did all of this while my engine was running because its cold out today. After I was done I wondered what all that extra work was for. I assumed if some nitwit shocked themselves while performing this simple repair 1A Auto could say they told them to disconnect the battery. I'm all about making life easier! Again, thanks for the how to video and please don't worry about disconnecting the interior door controls, that is a lot of extra work for no reason. Once the door panel is loose it can just dangle for the 5 minutes it will take to remove and replace everything.

I was thinking the same thing. Replaced a mirror and once I had the door panel loose, I had enough room to remove the mirror and not mess with all the electrical connectors. I try to avoid unhooking any plastic connectors that I don't need to, as half of the time they want to snap or break when messed with. Great video regardless, I find that this channel always seems to have the best tutorials and walkthrough videos on fixing stuff, and always saves me a lot of headache.

Thank you 1A auto Parts. I just finished replacing the passenger door mirror on my wife's 9-3 after an...incident...with the garage door frame. Dealership quoted $630 to replace. I found a used part online for $90 and replaced it myself in 30 mins using your video...AWESOME!! Thanks so much and I will certainly bookmark 1A Auto Parts for future part purchases.

great video is it possible to wire cables and install ghost shadow lights in to the front rear mirror or anywere else in the door that goes out when open and close doors? the negative - wire is it the black whit blue stripes and the hot + wire orange whit blue stripes ?

Excellent video. Thank you. My mirror keeps folding backwards. I have not idea why. The local dealer said 'well maybe it is a folding mirror motor malfunction'... Thanks for posting .
