Great Video. Followed step by step and success! For those of you who pull the electric harness out through the s-loop with attaching twine, all is not lost. I took a piece of string cutter cord (the kind you would use in a string trimmer), folded it in half and fished it through the outside hole. After several tries I was able to pass the cord through and then attached the twine to that.

I just did this yesterday and the video was spot on for the removal. For the install of the new mirror, just reverse the video to ensure you have the same steps. Worked Perfect. 45 minutes for me, but I tested my mirror before installing to make sure it moved and heated up before stringing it through the door frame. Works fine! I bought my mirror from another site, but at about the same price as this one.

The clip on the wiring harness got stuck in the door hole because it was bending the clip in a bad direction. The string was pulling it in a weird direction so I thought I had a grasp on the clip and I cut the string and then when I went to pull it through my grasp slipped and now the wiring harnesses in the door and I don't know how to get it out. And now I have no way to pull through the door and I'm cursing you out a lot I'm glad you're situation works for you and I'm glad that you gave these tips for people but for those of us who don't have a string to the door how the f*** do we do this.

Glad I watched another video. This says 2006 to 2018. I only had to take off the 3 bolts not the whole panel. Took less than 5 minutes.

Will subscribe being that i have a 2016 wrangler, The reason I watched is that after i wash my jeep water leaks out of the side mirror down the side of jeep, so watched to see how to remove mirrors so i can put some silicone or something to fix the problem. What is the purpose of the harness? I was going to put a filler kit in its place -- do I need to go thru all that if I am not doing another mirror? Or can I cut the harness?

I have a 2014, it has a different connector is this correct for a 2014 I was told that the 2015 has a double side connector and the 14 has a single connector??? I could not find the part on your site
