I wish every instructional video was as efficient as this one.

Bought my handle from Ace Hardware. My problem was I bought a handle that was too big and I tried to sand it down to fit. Did not go all the way down to where the thicker part of the handle starts. Broke off after a while of using it. My fault. Went back and bought a shorter handle with a narrower diameter. Still had to stand it down a little bit but was able to install the big fat wedge, and I used the old conical metal insert and not the two wedges. Get the head down to the beginning of the handle. Much much better. Your instructional video convinced me to not use the wedges. I was able to drive my shallow sand point well on our cabin property up north without having the head fly off. So that's good. Thank you for the video.

Excellent video! I called all around and searched the web for a ROUND wedge. You have to buy 3000 (exaggerating ... more like a pack of 12-15) for an ungodly $$$ amount or you can get one (1) at Walmart online for 65 cents ...and...$8 shipping !!! Back to triangular ones.

If only it was as simple as all that. I tried to do this today and I wound up with the handle sitting at a weird angle in the head. It's not straight at all. Now I need to cut it off and start over from the beginning.

I’ve replaced 3 handles using the videos demonstration. Works like a charm. You must be barely off on a step. I’d have to see in person

What kind of wood wedge is it? I didn’t know that I needed a wood wedge with my triangular metal wedge.
