BACK YARD CHEVY: Dude this video was perfect. No, super long. Annoying intro, or any dumb music lol. Some videos people post are really annoying and you have to skip through a bunch of garbage or mute, half the video because of some horrible music, but not you! You asked about whether or not you should show the rest of the spark plugs once getting the 1st one out and in my personal opinion, it would be cool to see you get the rest of them out, but in 4x-10x or something like that. Keep it up buddy thank you for this video.!

Great, very informative video. I wouldn't edit anything out. Showing as much detail is always appreciated. This is a great step by step with exact instructions. My neighbor just took ownership of a 2004 Chevy Colorado and I had no idea where the plugs were located on this engine. This video will help out immensely by helping him keep up with the maintenance of the truck.

Got code 0304 misfire on my 05 Chevy Colorado 3.5L - have 200K miles. Decided to replace all 5 plugs and coils - this is best video I've seen. I don't mind your repetitive coil replacements on video. The repetitiveness is needed for memory. Also like you instruction on removing and replacing parts. That clip on removing wires on coils is helpful. Using NGK coils and NGK iridium IX plugs. Appears plugs already pre-gapped and I may not need anti seize - will research some more to make sure. Will use 13ft torque per recommended spec below. Again, thanks for video.

Awesome video on how to replace spark plugs on the 3.7 Colorado/Canyon motor. This is the gold standard on how this is done. Thanks so much for showing what needs to be done with that wire harness to get at the first coil bolt as all the other guys just skip over that or give some sketchy comment on what to do. IMO after showing how to on plug #1 you could have skipped to #5 but not cutting corners is good to . You can work on my truck anytime. lol!

My '04 Canyon has 120,000 miles on it and although it ran fine, passed smog etc. those new spark plugs really made a difference, my truck has a lot more pep now! Thanks again and keep up the good work! And... if you ever get the chance to make a video on how to get the center armrest on a 58 Impala rear seat unstuck, I'll certainly tune in for that as well! 👍

Hey backyard Chevy: I enjoy your videos is right to the point and easy to follow. I think you could have skip some of it because it's the same as the first spark plug and like the other subscriber said, not to lose the screws or the locking clip. Questions I have the same truck an 06 needs same minor work like front and back shocks, I also the ABS indicator light is on, it use to go off but now it stays on. I also believe that she needs brakes pads all round and a new thermostat. Because during the winter the hot air isn't enough I have to keep it on number 2 or 3, if you happen to do any of those jobs on that truck I'll be glad to seat back and watch It will help me out keep them coming!

Hello thank you for your video.🙏 I have a real quick question not about the plugs but about the oil. my sons 2004 Canyon oil light comes on and then it says oil on the screen where the mileage normally is so I thought it needs oil and I went to check it but the dipstick reads that it has a little bit over the full mark. Could this be the problem because there be too much oil? or is the dipstick not accurately reading the amount? I wanted to put some Lucas oil stabilizer but I don’t want it to be filled even more if it’s already a little over full. Thank you very much

yea it shouldnt be the plugs especially if u put old ones and its doing the same...any chance that the hose under the intake resonator tube is damaged or disconnected..or the small one in the front..any of those could cause a vacuum leak and cause misfires cause its after the maf sensor...checking to make sure all the connections are on properly too like those intake tubes...i would check all that.

@@backyardchevy328 Thanks for not being offended by my comments. Your explanations were very clear but it was kind of a dead pan delivery. You could try a more conversational style, like you were explaining it to a friend. By the way, I am a professional mechanic but haven't worked on that 5 cylinder engine before ( I am in Hawaii, all Tacomas here), and your video helped me, so thanks.
