When screwing in the spindle and cap assembly, does the spindle need to be in a certain position before threading? Fully seated, open or close? Stem all the way to the right before final tightening? Thanks for the video!

Great question, JT! It’s important that the Temptrol valve always be in the OPEN position when disassembling OR reassembling. You may remember in the video that when the Cap Assembly and TA-10 Spindle were removed from the valve as one unit, the valve was in the OPEN position, and that’s how you’ll want that unit to go back in. When the valve is in the Open position, the spindle is screwed into the Cap Assembly as far as it will go, until it stops on either the Temperature Limit Screw or the Cap Assembly.
