I just used your video as a guide to replace Squire stock pickups in an Affinity Tele that I bought new a couple of years ago for $200. It has always felt great. No setup adjustments wee needed out of the box. But I was suspicious that the pickups were pretty bad. Did not know how bad until I replaced them today with Fender Yosemite pickups that I bought for $110. (I did not know you sold things like this until after I already had the pickups. Sorry). Now my Affinity sounds like guitar that would cost me a thousand dollars more than what I have invested in it. Thank you Dylan!

Thanks for this. If I want to mount my neck pickup the body like yours is, what’s the best method you’ve found for getting the mounting holes in the body placed so the pickup position perfectly matches with the hole in the puck guard? The pickups are Flat 6‘s if that matters.

Have u tried putting a metal bàse plate uñder the neck pup like the bridge pup has ? Worth doin ? Just curious . Have gd day .

Hi Dylan ,thanks for the video. I want to install a Dynasonic single coil on my guitar but I'm not sure if it fits or not. So maybe you can you shoot a video about Dynasonics and inform us about installing them on our regular gibsons, fenders ,etc? Thanks in advance

Dylan, hi. First of all, I have been watching your videos, and they are great. Second, could you help me out with advice? I have a HH Squier tele that I love. But I would like to put a standard tele pickup in the bridge. Is it possible or is it too much hassle? Excuse my english, I am a proud Croatian. :)

Would you be able to do a Tele pickup set with a humbucker for the neck? (would that sound okay?) I've got an HS Squier I love the feel of but wanna upgrade the electronics. If you don't recommend HS for a Tele I guess I could make a little pickguard for the humbucker cavity and use a regular set.

Dylan, do you have any experience with the old maxon mmk45 pickups? They are one of my favorite pickups. I’m curious to hear a professional’s opinion on them. They are hot but don’t feel hot to me and to me, have the most realistic single could sound in the split or tapped selection.

Yeah, I tried to order some decorative cosmetic pieces off Amzn and they won't fit correctly on Fender or Squier Teles.

@DylanTalksTone no just old school been a guitar tech and player for 50 years ..was always told never use power tools especially power screw drivers to easy to strip things out It just what you're used to... you can use a chain saw on your own guitar. If you want ..doesn't matter but if I am working on a customers guitar, I am going to be very careful , that being said, you can strip things out with hand tools also, if not careful...
