Ty! I was having a hard time getting the cover off & wasn’t sure if I was pulling it in the right place. After watching your video I realized I WAS doing it correctly, I just needed to get an Allen wrench to put inside the hole to get enough leverage to pull the cover down! Worked perfectly! 👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you sooo much!! I was having such a hard time taking the back off - I bought a new device that said it came with batteries but it wasn’t working. Turns out the batteries were just not attached to the connector. This video saved the day!

Question..what are the screws and the two little red tops for?

That’s the mounting hardware if you want to wall mount the alarm away from the outlet. It still needs to be plugged in though to receive its full output.

How many of these do I need in my home?? Do you think 1 will suffice for a small 1 story house?

Code requires at least one alarm at every level of the home. Preferably outside of the bedrooms but I put CO alarms in every bedroom for extra protection

Sorry for late reply but yes. Connect the battery, plug it in and you’re done. 0 indicates normal condition

Your alarm has reached end of life which means the alarm no longer works. It’s been used for 10 years or longer. REPLACE IMMEDIATELY. IT WILL NOT DETECT CO IN THIS CONDITION

Mine says ‘888’ with any number between 100-300 & has 4 quick beeps w/5seconds silence & repeats this once means the test button was pressed & no CO has been detected. That number displays when pressing test. This is normal. The unit will display END when it no longer works & the entire unit will need replaced immediately if END is displayed.
