Could not agree with you more Dirty Blond. It would have been nice to include probably the most important part. Now that the home button ribbon cable is broken, I'll need to use the Assistive Touch function as a workaround. For those who followed this video, the Assistive Touch feature can be accessed by going to General Settings > Accessibility > Assistive Touch

Some useful information, but you should have shown disconnecting the home button cable. Lucky I watched other videos besides yours.

BEWARE!!! If you are following this video for an iPhone 5S, you must open the phone VERY carefully just after prying up and loosening the screen so the Home Button ribbon cable is not broken. You should not lift the screen more than 1.5 inches until AFTER the cable is disconnected. Only then can you open it up to the 90 degree angle as stated in the video

You should show clearly how the two connectors and their plates, battery and screen, are fastened when assembling....they are tiny and thus tricky. The video cuts these crucial steps at 3.49 and 4.07.

u are supposed to unhook the touchid cable before opening it completely, which explains why your fingerprint doesn't work

Frog the way he removed the battery was wrong you are supposed to remove the battery by pull on tabs on the bottom
