Never imagined that the duct tape trick would actually work. New caps usually clip in quite tight. When I changed the caps, I removed the wheels, popped the caps out from the inside to prevent any scratches and took the chance to clean the inside of the rims.

I didn't believe it until I did it! I was going to do it along with a wheel removal, but didn't have time.

Mark, Thanks for another very informative video. Two other possible future topics for videos: 1 - Reviewing / replacing one or all four of the jack pads, which could take a bit of careful research to obtain the proper pads. Some pads are screw mounted and some are pop-in with plastic teeth / clips (which is what I have). My current concern is that even replacing my pop-in pads, they do not firmly insert, making them prone to falling out. 2 - Maintenance of the wheel hubs, especially removing the rear drums to inspect and clean the parking brake drum pads and mechanisms. And possibly replacement of disc brake pads. Many thanks. Walt 😃

Great suggestions! Didn't know there were snap in pads. Mine are screw in, but they are still finicky. Brake work is going to happen soon!

Very nicely done and I really liked your tape trick. When the time comes for me I want to get floating center caps. Yes they are much more expensive but I like to do car shows and it drives me crazy when all of my caps are pointing in different directions when I'm showing the car off.

Floating caps?! Haven't seen those. I'm cheap, I might bring duct tape to the show and reset them each time.😅

Duct tape, now a million and one uses, thanks for the tip... Wow!!! Love the look of those VMR wheels on the Z3, I have the same on my e89 Z4.

It's the only tool you need 😄 I like those wheels as well.

I took drill and drilled a hole in the center of the Cap then took a wire coat hanger put in the hole and pulled out the cap. It's just that easy.

I bought all new badges from Amazon for $11. You could replace them all 4 times for the cost of one OEM part.

@@MomentofZed Ive changed key words 5 times & scrolled through many pages. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re available right now. Maybe I just got lucky. I would do another search in a month or so. Maybe they’ll come back 🤷♀️
