Thanks for doing this. My chain on my brand new saw came off almost immediately 😡 Messed with it for a while, but it came right back off. Next time, I hope to have better luck, having seen this

Great video. Better than the Greenworks video. My chain came off almost immediately when I first used it. Could not get it back on correctly using the Greenworks video. Your video explained it much better, including how the screw tightens/loosens the chain. What I was missing was that the small protruding chain adjustment lever needs to go into the hole on the bar. You need to turn the chain adjustment screw all the way counterclockwise to loosen the chain. Also the bar won't go on correctly unless you have turned the screw to move that lever fully to the left. Once you put the bar on make sure the small protruding adjustment lever goes in the hole on the bar and then turn the screw clockwise to tighten the chain.

Just got one of these the 18" bar 80 volt and it did not cut well at all. I've got several hundred hours with a gas saw but this is my first electric one. Going to get it out again after I see how well his works , I'm thinking the Chinese must've put the chain on backwards it is an easy mistake to make.

Also, I recall the chain it came with. It didn't cut as well as the one I installed. It still did the job. But now it cuts like butter now. Thanks for watching.👍

@@HandymanLand Update. The chain was on backwards and they gave me 2 extra chains so why didn't they just put a good one on in the first place? I installed an Oregon chain and it cuts great but saw is quite heavy. Like my Echo gas better but cannot use it up in the forest.

@mikethebike7372 I'm glad to hear it's cutting better. Gas chainsaws are the way to go. But in some situations, the electric is a good option. The one thing I love the most is. I can start cutting firewood early in the morning. And not worry about bothering the neighbors. With a loud gas chainsaw. Thanks for the update🙂👍

Why does my new greenworks chain saw not oil the chain. I put oil in it and made two cuts with it. Now the chain makes about quarter rotation then stops.

how you get the oil cap off
@HandymanLand Жыл бұрын
Yes, Sometimes the oil cap can be Difficult to remove. Just remember righty tidy lefty lucy. Some long needle nose pliers should do the trick. Just be careful not to break the tab that lifts up. When placing the cap back on, take some of the same oil and rub it on the cap gasket. This will make it easier the next time to remove. Hope this information helps.
