Hooray! So simple but I'd never have even known where to start without this. Totally successful. Thank you so much! Getting those clips to engage when I pushed the new set in was a challenge, mind. And they are blooming sharp - blood everywhere! LOL

Excellent video - took less than five minutes to replace the part. Note, check the part to make sure that the detergent door will open when triggered. I received two that were dysfunctional.

Brilliant, thanks! Watching your video I noticed that my dispenser spring had become unwound & the 2 ends were now in more or less a straight line. I held threaded the coil round a screwdriver & bent the ends back to about 30 degs, which is enough for the door catch to engage again.Problem solved!

Thank you so much for this video! What about if the dispenser lid doesn’t stay closed? Do I need to change the old dispenser or is there a way to fix it? Thank you for any help you can give♥️

Re: vogel421 Absolutely brilliant, thanks! Can I respectfully suggest that for those of us hopefully just replacing smaller components rather than going for the full Monty and all its trauma and bleeding, something that just talks us through the detergent dispenser door and the flipping actuator thingy might be useful?. Hi Vogel421, You may be able to refit the spring and the door without dismantling the door but the blue tripping catch can only be correctly refitted by applying pressure to the lever behind. You would need to take the door skin off at least when replacing that part.

Unfortunately it was impossible to insert the new unit sufficiently to allow the clips to engage, spent over an hour using washing liquid, heating the gasket, pushing, pulling and eventually slipped using a screw driver which holed the rinse aid tank. Yeah you can imagine the language. Ended up swapping out the door, spindle catch arm and wax motor to the old unit which fitted back in OK. This was a Bosch vintage MY2000.

Getting the new dispenser to click into the “tabs” is horrendous. I ended up having to use the existing gasket because the new one wouldn’t squash down enough. I also found that it helps to carefully bend the tabs inward a bit. I found that a few of the tabs pinged in with a firm press of the dispenser from the inside. The others needed a bit of persuading using a screwdriver to press down on their edge (being careful not to slip!). In general, I found that my dishwasher (a Hotpoint) was not made to be serviced e.g. screws would not fully tighten - but, hey ho, it’s done.

I replaced the part as shown but the dispenser door is still not opening during operations. Any suggestion?
@eSpares9 жыл бұрын
+Paul Evans Shortly after the start of the main wash cycle (1 to 5 minutes in) you should hear a slight buzz from the door when the dispenser solenoid is activated. If you do not hear this check the solenoid is not open circuit with a meter. If there is a buzz then the dispenser may be faulty.

Yes - they are door guards and slide onto the metal pieces on the lower part of the door frame - longer teeth go toward the inside....

I'm trying to replace my the same part as the video, but I am unable to remove the old dispenser. I lift the tabs up, and I push like crazy on the dispenser, but it does not budge. I am pushing it into the door (the correct way as shown in the video) but it just does not move at any of the tabs, even with all of them lifted at the same time.

+122ninjas At 2:50 we show how to go around the dispenser releasing each clip. Start one end and push as you do this to get a little flexing and release the one end then progress around until released.
@122ninjas9 жыл бұрын
I have gone around multiple times, but the dispenser does not budge one bit at any of the points
@eSpares9 жыл бұрын
+122ninjas Sounds like you are not 'pushing' the clips hard enough. You can try carefully pushing a small screwdriver into the clip to help pass the holder.
@122ninjas9 жыл бұрын

I have the same issue as Matt below. 2 black plastic parts 5600000692 fell out when I was unscrewing the door. No idea where they go. Any help would be appreciated. cheers Dave
@eSpares9 жыл бұрын
+dave huculak Have a look at the bottom right of the picture at 4:17 there is a glimpse of a white plastic guide or support that helps keep the door more rigid (one on either side). Check if your part matches this.
@texasdavemusgrave77999 жыл бұрын
Linusthekitten below got it right. They fit over the main door hinge supports, with the long "teeth" to the inside. The flat front part keeps the door from being dented if it is pushed against the hinge. They snap right into a notch in the hinge. Look at the dust on the top side for orientation help, although either will fit. Not shown on ANY parts diagram I have seen!!

How test the Wax Motor actuator ?
@eSpares8 жыл бұрын
At 2:39 you can see the solenoid (red) that opens the flap and gives a squirt of rinse aid. This can be checked with a meter (would expect it to be less than 4000 ohms). When 'actuated' the solenoid will pull in its plunger and pull the lever to open the flap.

My new dispenser will not click into place. My husband tried everything (lubrication, put the old gasket on the new, pressure) nothing works. Thought it must be defective but the next one is the same-it seems slightly larger than my old part and will not click into place. The old one can easily be taken in and out. My dishwasher is 12 years old and I'm wondering if the part has been slightly changed. Would be an easy repair if the part fit. Going to have to do without a new dispenser. :-(
@eSpares10 жыл бұрын
Hi tabbycats5, Double check you have orderd the right part as there can be production changes even on the same model number. To identify this find the production number and use this to confirm the part.

eSpares My 12 year old Bosch dishwasher is model # SHU6806UC/UC12 and the soap dispenser was part # 490467. This is the right part for my unit but it will not fit. The part must have been changed slightly since my unit was built. Thank you again for your input.
@eSpares10 жыл бұрын
tabbycats5 It looks like you are right the original part fitted 00265837 is no longer available and Bosch say 490467 is a suitable replacement. However sometimes this may involve some modification. Just a thought some of these dispensers can be repaired with Stock Number: ES546388. Check as this may solve the problem.

Hello, i have the Bosch dishwasher model # SHU3322UC/U11 My dishwasher "Clean" light will not reset (turn off); I am unable to start a new load. Normally upon opening the door the power/lights will turn off and wait until I press the power ON/OFF button again and press one of the wash buttons. But now, the Clean light will simply stay lit upon pressing the Power ON/OFF button again, so I am unable to start a new wash. Even powering off the dishwasher will not reset it. The Clean light will still lit. I have no idea what is causing this or how to reset or fix this. Any help will highly be appreciated! :/

If the machine lights but does not run the pump when you start the programme it is likely there is a pump problem so see another of our videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2G6aqOwd79geqs If the drain pump is OK see this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r32Zcmp_lNd2aNE
