thank you for this. I just bought a second hand xls 380 which I need to replace the deflector. It looks easy enough to do. Just need a second pair of hands to help.

It’s a lot easier than replacing the chute on a Toro Recycler walk behind.🤣 The spring on the Recycler has short tabs and gobs of resistance. Good video.

Ha you can say that again. Lose track of that thing and it'll go flying across the shop.

Do they make a smaller rubber (or just a rubber one) chute for the Timecutter? It's just a matter of time before the plastic chute gets broken.
@kbssmallenginerepair26153 жыл бұрын
Not that I am aware of. You are correct, with the size and pliability of that chute, they are bound to break. And they are not cheap either...

How would you pull a mulch cover on the same unit
@kbssmallenginerepair26153 жыл бұрын
It should come with instructions, but there will be a little plate that slides through the front bracket, and a rubber strap towards the back that straps down to the back eyelet. Then there is a hook on top that buckles down to the cover rod... If that all makes sense.
@dickrenfro85353 жыл бұрын
Thanks I appreciate that but what about the metal clip up at the top does that clip in the where the other flap is at

Gee KB ya make it look easy
@kbssmallenginerepair26153 жыл бұрын
Oh Rooster, you are too kind. It's tricky fighting a silly little spring and trying to film at the right angle...
@jimx6512 Жыл бұрын
This doesn't help me much. My spring is on the left side of the rod as you look at it from the discharge end. It has no securing bolt on the bottom, just the long hinge pin and the spring. I'm trying to figure out how to put it all together. I guess I have a newer model.

Looks like too much hassle. Just tell the customer to get off the left side of the mower.... j/k good video but you needed a 3rd hand lol.
