How to Replace the Group Gasket on HiBrew H10A Espresso Machine - Grouphead Leaking Fix

I got this machine from Amazon and returned it after 48 hours of using it. The plastic boiler and group head is a big red flag. After only making 5 espresso on it, the area where you connect the portafilter into the group head started cracking.. They should put a metal or stainless steel or even an aluminum group head and boiler in there and just add $6 dollars to the price instead if the 99 cent plastic.. Its an excellent little machine in spite of the bad group head.

I haven’t encountered that issue with mine, but I agree that they could definitely improve the quality of the group head. It doesn't look fancy. This machine is mainly focused on affordability and functionality, but it could be more durable.

this is my main fear of getting a machine like this. I appreciate all the work they did with timing, temp control, upgradability of external parts, but the boiler is the most integral piece, and even if you take care of it with back flushing, and gasket repair, there's too much non abs plastic to make it work. Plastics aren't all the same (aeropress has surgical grade plastic), but this one looks reasonably sus

@@ritwikjs Just spend $200 more and go for a Gaggia Classic EVO that has a brass group head and stainless steel boiler. I also found that the Hibrew machine's temperature wasn't stable and could not get beyond 182 degrees fahrenheit.

@@mamadouaziza2536 The problem with Gaggia machines is that their boilers are made of aluminium.

Any idea what the thickness of the stock gasket and replacement are? I’m looking for a slightly thinner gasket due to a tight fit with my aftermarket basket.

hello , ive been watching your vids for some time now and i recently purchased the h10a, do you think perhaps you could try a series (since the machine is getting more popular) with upgrades? for example the first upgrade should be an opv kit (which is universal) to set it at 9-10 bars, or maybe a new shower screen and maybe different baskets by ims or something? I love this machine a lot but i know it can offer more

Thanks for the suggestions. It seems quite difficult to reach the OPV inside the machine. I saw that some people add an extra one, but that seems like a hassle.

@@brewcoffeehome from what I've seen from a guy speaking russian, there's a way to adjust the existing opv but it can be risky, and there's is another way to reach it, and apparently the brass OPV that you can get aftermarket is a universal one which costs roughly 25 euros if I'm not mistaken, currently my issue is that I can't get certain flavour profiles because of the high pressure

Same question - where to get genuine or just fitting gaskets? Seen on Ali for EUR ~25 for the set of two but not sure they would actually fit...

I did not receive the extra gasket in the box. Also my G5 grinder does not come with the magnet.

I got my machines a year ago so maybe they've changed something.
