Similar to the Gemilai espresso machine are the Miicoffee Apex (€341) and the Legato v2 ($479).

Thanks for this. I had the same problem. It was infuriating me as to why it wouldn’t work. I never would have thought to clean the gunk from the wheel. It was amazing how much build up was there. I have de-gunked and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the tip.

For what it's worth, my Hibrew H10 Plus broke within 2 weeks of receiving. Tried working with the vendor to get it replaced or fixed, but the best they could do was replace it with the lower model and refund the price difference. I'm guessing they are having lots of problems with the Plus model and prefer to just replace with the older, proven model.
@brewcoffeehome
@brewcoffeehome 2 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear about your experience. I’m guessing they have more stock of the H10A than the Plus. From what I’ve seen of the internal design, the Plus isn’t very different from the H10A, except for the addition of a 3-way solenoid valve and an upgraded copper fittings. Hope the H10A is working well for you!
@AmsterdamSigma
@AmsterdamSigma 2 күн бұрын
If you don't want to replace it with H10, you only have one option. There are five important systems that can break down in an espresso machine: power unit, motherboard, thermoblock, pump and pipes. You need to find the problem and replace the broken product with a new one.

Is it more common to start the timer once the espresso starts flowing or at hitting the start button? There's a considerable difference in time and if the former is true then I need to grind finer
@brewcoffeehome
@brewcoffeehome 2 күн бұрын
Hi, it really depends on personal preference. I think it’s more consistent to start timing when you hit the start button. At the end of the day, it’s all about how good the coffee tastes!

It’s a pretty simple design, a dosing cup with a built-in scale. It’s made of plastic, with a maximum weight capacity of 99 grams. You can switch between ounces and grams, and it has an auto-shutoff feature. That’s pretty much it. While a regular coffee scale might be more practical, this one is just fun to use and looks great. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the upload! You're currently the only one who has reviews on the H10A, H10B and H10 Plus. Keep up the good work, I'm still trying to choose between the three!
@brewcoffeehome
@brewcoffeehome 2 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for the comment. The H10B is a smaller version of the H10A (51mm vs. 58mm portafilter). The settings and functions are basically similar to the H10A. The H10 Plus comes with a 3-way solenoid valve (for pressure release), adjustable pressure settings, some internal component upgrades, and an improved drip tray that’s more user-friendly. Maybe I should make a video to compare these three. ☕

Thanks for the comment. I’ve been using it a lot recently for espresso, pour-over, and now moka pot, and it works great. While the blind shaker design makes the workflow slightly more complex than regular grinders, but it’s not a big issue. Sometimes, when I need to clean it, the adjustment ring can be a bit hard to unscrew, I hope they've fixed this.

Terrible grinder in my opinion. Had to recalibrate, it worked but if the setting is changed from espresso to pour and then back to espresso, the I didnt had consistent shots. All so the chinese customer service from this brand is terrible. Not compared at all to an amercian brand. Cheap turned out to be expensive.

@brewcoffeehome
@brewcoffeehome 8 күн бұрын
It uses 12g for a 40ml espresso. (In the video, I mentioned 16g, but it’s actually 12g after re-measuring). If you select double espresso, the machine will grind and brew twice.

@brewcoffeehome
@brewcoffeehome 6 күн бұрын
@@adityajain3697 It seems super-automatic machines typically don’t use a dosage of 16-20g, usually around 10-14g. I’ve used Philips and Delonghi machines before, and they’re quite similar. The coffee tends to be slightly milder compared to semi-automatic machines using 1:2 ratio.
