This might sound like a dumb question but do you have to drain the gas from the tank first before disconnecting that line? This is my first KTM.

We currently do not have anything in stock that is bigger. You can check out Golan Products, who has a fuel filter that is slightly larger and been tested by KTM.

On your bike there should be a fuel pump located inside your gas tank that has 2 separate filters.

Here is some interesting fact. I bought KTM 250 EXC TPI 2018 with 50 hours, now i have 100 hours and i wanted to change this inline fuel filter and when i removed this fuel line filter was missing. So if you are wondering if this filter is really necessary here is the answer. Bike still running with no problems, maybe it is just a luck. But of course i don't recommend you to do this.

I have a 2012 ktm 250sxf but when I removed the quick disconnect fuel line there was no filter there. I tried to just put the filter in but it wouldn't sit flush. Looking at your bike and my bike I do not have the metal piece that the filter sits inside any help?

I also have the 2012 sxf 250 and this is also the case with mine. The throttle body side of mine is a L shape or 90 degree angle. I've bought this inline fuel filter and tried to fit it but can't get it in and the same as the previous comment. There wasn't even one in there either.

I have managed to fit it. But after some research the KTM I have actually has the inline fuel filter in the L shape fuel rail. I have fitted this and I have also changed the fuel pump filter but the bike will not even start now. I've got a spark plug coming so il change that as well and then try and clean out the injector.

Bump the starter button and listen for the fuel pump to cycle. If it does, do a fuel flow or fuel pressure test. If it doesn't cycle, test for power going into pump. If power is there but it doesn't cycle- replace pump. What do you mean by backwards? If fuel is flowing regularly through the filter, it is most likely fine but you could have a slightly different looking setup than this bike.

We used Bel-Ray Waterproof Grease. But any high quality grease that is safe for rubber will do.
