3:06 rubber bushing is upside down, you want the fat side facing up to help stabilize the shock. Same as the top rubber facing down .

I have watched all the videos that apply to this series vehicle and looked at the parts suppliers and do NOT see that any aftermarket shocks use the factory rubber isolators between the lower shock inner and outer mounting hardware. Reference 1:51 and you see rubber between the shock and mount and between the shock and washer. Why is that? Ford thought it was needed but aftermarket do not.

I saw one vid where the guy sad to re-use the Ford top mount nut and isolator.

That FordTeckMak guy says to jounce the vehicle a few times before tightening the lower mount. This is to prevent binding of the bolt through the shock mount. Does this action make a difference?
