i wish youtube repair videos were more honest. anytime you hear " this part is a little tricky or requires a bit of patience " you can be sure that that step will almost universally incite a murderous rage that will in some way permanently damage your psyche. ive looked at a dozen videos on how to get the back glass off, raised the temperature to a frightful level and the glass didnt budge

Small tip for s8 users that have problems with charging. Try clearing out the dust in the charging port. It might help! It did for me.

Okay, my phone is assembled and working great. I was very skeptical after I dissembled my phone but it worked. I do realized that my phone is probably no longer waterproof.

my charging port works but it seems the plastic that holds the pins in place is damaged. since i need to replace my screen anyway i think i will just replace that as well.
