I'm so sorry your efforts didn't fix your machine. The instructions were very helpful to me and I particularly appreciate your videography which clearly shows where things are in 3 dimensional space. Best wishes Chris, Coffee Fiend.. Tasmania.

I think you'll usually hear the solenoid valve make a loud electronic vibration noise when it's failing, mine is doing that combined with maybe slower flow / less pressure sometimes. Hopefully it's the solenoid and I don't also go through the trouble of replacing it for nothing. This video should prove helpful for many though!

Thanks for the video. Good clear instructions. I have just ordered a new solenoid for my BES900. It has been under-pressured and making the rattling sound which seems to be the give-away for a dodgy solenoid. I notice some suggesting a gasket kit is needed as well but see you have got away without it. Also some people suggest the new gasket comes with the solenoid but I guess not so in your case and would seem unlikely.
@NJSInstructional3 жыл бұрын
Thanks David, much appreciated! I thought I may have had to use a gasket kit also, however, from my research, the earlier models required it but not the later models. When I removed the Solenoid from my unit, it didn't have it. So it depends on your model.
@davidfaletti26273 жыл бұрын
OK done. Yes, mine was an older model and had the white full size gasket. The solenoid didn't come with the gasket so again I re-used the old one after cleaning it up. I will pull it apart again to check if there is any leaking soon. The pressure was still way down after the solenoid fix so I adjusted the OPV valve tightening it up at least 2 turns which I think maxed it out. Pressure is around 8 now (max) so not awesome but coffee seem fine.

@@NJSInstructional I am in the habit of replacing all parts when doing maintenance like this. This way, it avoids going back into the machine sometime soon, thanks, very, very easy to watch

Mate,i had the same issue, the problem is with the triac board. The triacs are responsible for giving power/regulating power to the pump. Replace the part and your machine will work. I had the EXACT same issue.
@NJSInstructional Жыл бұрын
Good to know, thank you! I ended up selling this machine and bought a Rancilio Silvia.

Thanks for your insight! That triac board, is that what it’s called? I’d greatly appreciate knowing what you got. Our issue is the same as the guy that made the video. No pressure on the gage, a couple drips. Doesn’t seem like it would be the solenoid as it’s not over-pressurized. Much appreciate :)

When you put the pin into the center washer you did it from the wrong side. The flanged end is up in the solenoid with the narrow end poking out. That may be why didn’t work

No he didn't. Look how it was install in the original one and it make sense as the water flow goes.

Interested what it turns out to be...mine always makes a pumping noise...and I did not hear that in your video...looking forward to next video

I believe it was either the PCB or the Pump...

@@NJSInstructional did you ever figure it out?
@BensCoffeeRants5 ай бұрын
@@trevorgartner4194 Other comments say it sold for parts, so never figured it out but it seems like it's the pump. Solenoid failing will make an electronic vibration noise as it struggles to stay open or closed or whatever they do :D

probably the pump... just replaced mine. sounds like your pump never even turned on..?

The problem can be corrected if DC voltage is applied to the control of the valve electric coil instead of alternating voltage ... Install a diode bridge.

Hi! I have the same problem with my Breville Oracle Touch. What was the outcome with your machine? In Virginia (US) and frustrated with my machine.

Depends where you are located. Google the part and you should be able to find somewhere near you where you can source it from.

i am having the issue that a volumeshot normally took like 30 seconds now turn out to need like 70 seconds. pressure gauge shows normal pressure. could it be the solenoid? internal pressure loss somewhere else?
@NJSInstructional3 жыл бұрын
It is a possibility. It could also be the water pump. Did it happen all of a sudden or gradually over time?
@hwdejonge3 жыл бұрын
@@NJSInstructional seemed within a day. as said pump still gives good pressure like 9,5 bar. thats why i do not think the pump is the issue. what do you think?

Cheap but pretty good tech in it. There's a few issues to look out for, I wish they'd update the problematic areas and make it more dependable in the long term.
