I lolled a little at the "Quickly & easily" bit as I did one today while also doing the timing belt. Neither are for the faint of heart - both are complete sods IRL. If this particular starter motor falls under your "Easy Jobs" Category, I tip my hat, you are a better man than me. That little git of a motor is properly buried - right beside the exhaust so it gets toasted daily. Dim Design at its finest....

Just doing mine now your video is helping a lot thanks. But it Looks easier on a left hand drive car, it's a pain in the ass on a rhd UK car. As all the steering column and brake cylinder (and lines) are in the way. So space is severely restricted and makes things a lot harder.

could remove mine entirely but from below the car - just removed the battery as well. but interesting to see on another car version

Why do this job from the top? The vitara sits off the ground enough to go underneath for better access, like 90% of other starter replacements.
