Best car video I’ve seen in a long time you actually went step by step. Starter just crapped out and I am not a car guy. Thank you!

Very helpful video! Thanks for the efforts. I removed my car's starter after watching this video. I found that the (hard-to-reach bolt was missing)! I installed it back as I found it after cleaning the terminals on it which were covered with grease comming from the previosuly found dameged internal CV boots. Starting problem was solved only about 95%. Car starts normally most of the time, but sometimes doesn't. Still needs to be taken to a car electrician.

It sounds like a short possible in the wire. You may be able to rule it out by waiting until the starting issue happens , then carefully wiggle the wires to see if it starts right away. Its hard to find the short so it may require replacing that portion of the harness. Another possibility may be the starter itself. Best of luck and keep us updated..

@@s33therfan thank you for your very helpful videos. I was still working on my car to solve its remaining minor problems, but a faulty battery took my car away for good two days ago when I was driving! :( .... car bursted on fire!

Great video. I pull the 1.8l sonic cylinder head because of a broken timing belt. I wiil be replacing the crankshaft sensor even though it is not bad but car has over 200,000 miles on it. Will be taking out the starter from the top but will not replace it but I have a feeling it will give up soon 😂

Great video. Had a hell of a time Lining it up to get that grounding bolt back in but very informative? How did you get both hands up the there did you drop the muffler?

The space is very limited but I found reaching around everything to work without removing anything else. Thanks for the fesdback.

You could have taken that top starter bolt of from the engine bay rather than underneath. You have enough gap and room to slide the extension on and turn with the ratchet between the intake and starter. i have a trax which has no room and is almost but up with the intake manifold.

This is the only decent video on KZbin showing the removal of the top starter bolt. You should clip those parts and label them for crankshaft position sensor because all of those videos are trash.

@s33therfan2 жыл бұрын
In cases like that I have to take 2 to 3 inch extensions etc and add it to say a 10 inch to get the exact length I need. Thank you for the feedback.

Nice. I have only seen one Cruze with a diesel engine , I really thought it was neat. I would like to have one myself. The manual is icing on the cake also. Thanks for sharing.
