I have a 2017 Ford Escape, the car is totaled disabled, the No Hill Assist keep coming on along with check engine light. Worse car I've ever owned.

Thanks for the video. I've got a bearing going out on my wife's 04 Thunderbird, but haven't figured out if it is front or back yet (did the wheel test and zero play, so that test didn't work, and spinning didn't reveal anything either). I'm praying front, as those are cheap and easy to replace. But if not, I've got your video for the rear.

Who is the manufacturer of those wire harnesses? I bought (but haven't installed yet) the idatalink harness and Maestro module because I thought the Maestro was the only one that retained all functions (SW controls, rear cam). Great video - thanks for taking the time.

Best how to video ever. I hate videos where you suddenly see a part removed with no explanation where it goes and how they really got it off. I once destroyed a truck because the video said I could replace the wheel bearings with nothing more than a steel pipe in 20 minutes. Thank you.

Great videos on replacing the motor mounts. I'm thinking one of more of mine need to be replaced. Is there any way to verify they need to be replaced short of removing them? I have the vibration but not really a rattle.
@s33therfan2 күн бұрын
You may be able to tell by having someone shifting gears with their foot on the brake. Watch the engine etc for extra movement. I have found it is best to replace the passenger and the driver at the same time. Hope this helps.

Oh, and if your charger has electrical issues, and dealer says you need 3 new modules at 1000 each plus 98765 dollars to program each plus tax, that ground sob on drivers side is the first thing to do
@s33therfan2 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing that tip , it is much appreciated.

Reason why mechanics charge so much is because they dont do it the way its done in the video, bulletin says that compressor, exhaust, heads, gas tank, transmission must be removed, and blinker fluids must be drained and refilled, and that is VERY expensive

@s33therfan2 күн бұрын
Yes you can. The easiest way would be to locate a donor car , wrecked etc. There are a lot of parts and pieces , wire harness , pcm . Many things you might not even think about. Thank you for the feedback.

I would say yes , as these oil coolers are one of the biggest issues with all of these 3 6l engines. Thanks for the feedback.

What brand is that thin bodied ratchet? Looks pretty snazzy. Nice breakdown of steps involved in this vid. No bs or filler, just the straight dope.

It is a pittsburg brand and I've only been able to find it at harbor freight. I have broken several of these but they have a lifetime warranty , so I just get another. They are very handy.

One other item we ran into was ensuring that all the sensors had be plugged in fully. A OBD Scanner showed DTC's (troubled code) that we tracked down and simply pushed them in completely. We also had a hard time with the first start as we had transferred the Mutliair from the original motor due to a damaged connector on the newer engine. We busted a solenoid connector on the trans harness also and Oreilly's had replacements that were easily wired in.
@smith2tate6 күн бұрын
For any looking to swap transmissions or separate the transmission, you have to to re-clock the dual mass flywheel plate as mentioned in the video. I was able to take the fly wheel to a local dealer and they where able to reset in minutes and didn't charge us anything. If they where to charge it was going to be 50$.

@@s33therfan ~ I did find one plug that seemed to be having a issue. It may have had crush washer that wasn't sealed. It seemed to have a bit of oil collected in there. Seemed odd. I changed all the plugs and I will check it again in a few months. Anyway, the chirp is gone. Thanks!

Do you do other types of repairs on the 1.6?? I been having a issue with my gass as well it's going down way too fast but every time I reset the battery it goes back to normal for a while then it happens again any thoughts?

I was trying to figure out why my 1.6 was leaking oil everywhere I been thinking of doing this my self but I'm not to sure now lol this is way too many parts for me to do my self I'm sure that if I take my time I can get it done in a few days but it's kind of scary not gonna lie lol.
