Thank you. You filled in the gaps to hold the string from unwinding. Plus I never though of using a "bubble" lubricant on the string.

I have this exact weedeater and when I unscrew the bolt it just keeps spinning and doesn’t actually loosen. Any idea what I need to do to loosen it?

I used some tape ...electric tape what I had handy...to keep he bump cap on. I put tape on the square nut which let the cap to fit nice and tight. We will see how well it works as I get to work. Might want to consider to put a disclaimer about the cap before you take it off so folks such as myself won't do the same mistake..either way not a big deal and shouldn't be an issue besides I got line in it with the bump still functional
