This video shows you how to install a new TRQ thermostat housing in your 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata. The thermostat housing holds the thermostat, which regulates coolant flow in your vehicle's engine. If the housing is damaged or leaking, that can cause problems.
This repair was done on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2.4L Sedan 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Thanks. Going to have this done on my car. I’m pretty good at basic maintenance and thought I could do this myself. But, this one is above my pay grade. Especially is something goes wrong.

It's a good video but yes, there is a slightly different housing out there, on my 2010. Where the rear lower connection is a built in 90 degree elbow that mates to a metal pipe with an o-ring.

Great video thank you. Would it be safe to assume that replacing this part on the Santa Fe 2014 is similar? I checked the Santa Fe playlist and there’s not a replacement video for this part unfortunately.
