Thanks! This will be my next project. Already had plugs and coils replaced. Worked great for a while.. now I'm getting a cylinder 4 misfire code again...
@MTParadise2 ай бұрын
Have you swapped the coils around to see if the misfire changes to a different cylinder? If not the coils, it might be a spark plug or maybe even a spark plug slightly coming unscrewed. I had that happen once to a car years ago

@@MTParadise Here is what I ended up doing.. I called a mobile mechanic because I couldn't find the time to dig into it and I really needed a working car for my job, which was hybrid at the time. What he found is the first coil that was replaced was bad. He did swap coils around to come to that conclusion. I hate spending extra money like that, but ....

Can you explain what you meant when you said it was running rough? Like how did you diagnose that these needed to be replaced?
@MTParadiseАй бұрын
When looking at the tachometer, the needle was bouncing around quite a big and you could hear it not running steady and at times seemed like it was going to die and after the new injectors, the tachometer hardly moves while sitting still and runs super smooth now
@jonathanratliff47802 ай бұрын
Great explanation here may I ask how many miles that car had on it? I have 303,000 miles on my 09 corolla runs slick smooth still thankfully I have replaced all four ignition coils with Denso units. Which by the way on such a critical part as injectors my only thing I would not have done what you did as I would’ve kept it Denso I’m not taking any chance I don’t know why you didn’t used it so but that was your choice I assume.
@MTParadise2 ай бұрын
It’s at 130k. Yes Denso parts are the best but sometimes availability and price are a factor but not every aftermarket part should be discredited. There are other reputable parts out there. This car hardly ran when I got it so I’ve had to replace so much and just getting it up and running properly is the main goal lol
@jerrodschonfeld3159Ай бұрын
Do you need to do anything special to clean the sockets where the injectors go into the car or just wipe it?

I just wiped it off really good and use a good amount a lubricant

I ended up having some issues that is leading to more...lol The 1st attempt i had what looked like a small leak, thought it was because I reused the thick o-rings on the bottom. Second attempt changed the thick bottom rings, and now it seems to be leaking more than it did b4 replacing. Can you advise??
@MTParadiseАй бұрын
Would it be leaking from the top side that goes into the fuel rail itself?
@rogelioochoa2259Ай бұрын
Hey I just changed mine and had a leak too lol. Sorry if this doesn’t help but. I changed mine and test drove it and noticed I was leaking a lot. There was a slight gap that wouldn’t close because I didn’t lube the o-ring and it lifted a part up a little bit. I had to make sure they were all laying flat to the fuel rail itself. I saw a comment mention how there is a bolt in the back that keeps the fuel rail arm in place. Maybe u can look up a video on how to loosen ur fuel rail. And it can make it easier to put your injectors in all the way?

Ive recently replaced my Ignition coils and spark plugs but i have a new code, P219C PD and it mentions air has been detected. Is that a big issue? And would i need to replace my oxygen sensor or the fuel injectors?

Going to try this on my 2010. I've replaced the coils and plugs recently but still having intermittent issues w/ misfire and engine and VSC light flashing. Just got the car back from the shop for misfire in cyl #1. They thought they fixed it - guess what, still misfiring.

Hopefully it’s just the fuel injectors

I'm getting misfire on my 2nd cylinder, check engine and vsc lights as well. Have you done anything so far? I checked fuel injectors and the o-rings on them look okay but the injectors are dirty.
@horacevuАй бұрын
@@auomauom so change your fuel injectors, change all 4 of them.
@kahershАй бұрын
update - these came with the wrong size O-rings. Had a massive fuel leak from the rail at all four injectors. Used the old O-rings (original from factory) on the new injectors and no fuel leaks. Unfortunately did not fix my intermittent misfire/rough running issue. Made it about 4-5 miles and the lights came back on and started running rough. Put the car in neutral and turned it off, coasted for about 10 seconds, started it and no lights and ran fine all the way home. I'm stumped.

You forgot ONE important 12 mm bolt that has to be removed, it holds the fuel rail in place on the side in the back, difficult to access, and if you don't remove it, you cannot fully raise the rail to pull out the #4 injector which was the one that was bad in my situation.

Oh thank you for that info. It would have made this a lot easier lol
