I couldn't get the side bolts in for the mount. I had to lower the engine to get enough access to the bolts for the transmission bracket through the wheel well and removed the transmission bracket. Then once i had the mount install i reinstalled the transmission bracket.

Thank you very much for this video! I'm working on a Dodge Journey, which is similar. Is it OK to lift the transmission from the pan? Do some models require putting a jack on a specific point on the frame of the transmission? Just want to make sure! Thanks!

Installing the mount side bolts is a total PITA if you don't know the trick. Unfortunately, the video skips over that little detail. I spent an hour cursing at this until I finally discovered the right way. This is also how to get the bolts out with the least effort. The secret is that the transmission side has a pocket cast in the side opposite the bolt hole. Here is how to use that: Hold the bolt straight up and down with the bolt head at the top. Do not try to install it in sideways. Lower the bolt straight down. Keeping the bolt pointed down, move the bolt head toward the transmission so it goes into the pocket. Then keeping the bolt pointed down, rotate the end of the bolt into the bolt hole. If it won't go in, you may need to raise the transmission up a little with the jack. If the transmission is sitting too low there won't be room to remove/reinstall the bolt. It should then go in, or at least be part way into the bolt hole. If needed, you can then use the pry bar to move the transmission over a small amount. Good luck!

He put a torque wrench on it and it clicked so unless his torque wrench is extremely out of calibration 🤷🏻‍♂️. He probably tightened the bolts with a regular ratchet before hand.
