How to Replace Universal Joints on 2000-2015 Nissan Xterra 2WD

Today we have a 2006 Nissan Xterra 2WD that has several drivability concerns. It has a vibration under load, it clunks when shifting from park to drive or from reverse to drive, and it has a squeaking noise while moving. We diagnose this issue to be coming from a front universal joint and walk you through the process of replacing them. In the video we are using a special tool designed for removal, but the job can be done with many different other common tools. Good job except when you put the rear part of the shaft back on the rear end you yellow alignment marks were not lined up,these shafts are all balanced and it can make a difference 😮

1:58 I mention that you mark them because they’re balanced. 12:28 on the left side of the driveshaft you can see both of the marks I made. There was some big yellow thing in the right side but that was there before we got started and I don’t know what it was.
