I replaced my regulator and it runs at 14.5, (14.4 at the battery), I see yours is at 13.8-14.0. I'm trying to figure out if I have an issue or not. I have an 08 1098S. prior to replacing I was losing my lights and dash back lighting but the charging voltage was the same except for that it would drop. New regulator stays fixed.

Hello steve thanks for commenting. 14.4 volts is within normal range. This allows it to charge the 12v battery. This is standard for most modern motorcycles and vehicles. Hope this helps.

BoostedofCourse , thanks for the reply. Just wanted to make sure cause it seems as though most others hang around 14.2. Including 2 of my friends with 848s.

Hello Steve, there are many things which can vary the voltage level of your particular bike in small variances. Such as Battery Rating, the Particular voltage regulator you are using, and your stator. Any variance in these can cause a variance. As long as your bike doesnt get closer to 15v then you will be in good shape. Hit a thumbs up and subscribe if you found this helpful!

Don't think that's a mosfet r/r because of the plugs on it. There should be no wires coming off of the unit itself.

Your engine sounds like the spark plugs are fouling

ooopepper have since sold the bike but I thought I’d post this anyway. Most of the noise you hear is the infamous Ducati clutch sound. This one had a slipper clutch. If you pull in the clutch sound goes away.
