On my son's 2010, the 2 starter bolts were facing the front of the car at a right angle to the starter. 14 mm, had to use an universal joint for the lower bolt. PITA.

Not a bad video but just wanted to add that I have a 2010 one but it has a starter that is an exact to a 2011. So just know they are a pretty big difference and harder to do.

Hi, After giving my Honda Odyssey 2006 a jumpstart it started fine. But the dashboard had no light. The only lights were on was the brake lights the seatbelts and the VSA light on the dashboard. The gas gauge was on E while it was running even though I have a full tank. I ran it for about five minutes. I put it in reverse the engine shut off on me. It wouldn’t start back on. And now I have No headlights. What could be the problem? Maybe the alternator Not the starter?

Where did you get this starter from? I heard that the ones from Auto Parts stores are trash.

I think it was from Arch, don't buy aftermarket or rebuild starters.It won't last more than a year, this was the second starter i put in.But i had lifetime warranty on it.

Do NOT trust this video to show you all the steps!! He completely neglects to mention the two 12mm bolts underneath the tray that are a HUGE pain in the butt. There are other, better vids that mention this but so far none I can find show you how to get them. Plan on using a 10-12 inch socket extention with a universal joint to get the one in the front right corner of the tray.

jfpinkston 2008 bolts are in different location. Look up part and you can see where the starter bolting flange in different. That’s because it’s a Honda😡
