How to replace your Dyson Small Ball™ vacuum's brush bar

Good video! No talking, clearly illuminated, well edited. Thanks! On my brush bar, it seems that 50% of the black bristles have worn away after 4-5yrs of excellent service. I was wondering if just the black bristle strip could be replaced by sliding it into the groove on the brush bar. It seems the easier maneuver is to replace the entire brush bar. Okay then! Thanks so much.

Couldn't read the sub-titles but the video was so straightforward that even a 70-year old grandma (which I am) could follow it and replace the roller brush easily.

Thank you. When I put the head back on the main body a green plastic thing fell onto the floor. Is it a part of the cleaner ?

Our replacement DC50 roller looked similar to yours with the attached end piece. Our original one seems to be a separate part that comes off of the roller. However, I cannot slide out the purple roller after unscrewing and rotating/removing the end cap. Its like something else is still attaching it from the other end. Ideas?

I did exactly this , BUT the brush beater bar keeps spinning then stops?...any tips as to why?
