Hi. I own a Sony vpl vw 360es. I believe it uses h220 lamp. Is it possible to use the bulb from h280 lamp with the h220 housing inside the projector? Cheers

Does the replacement bulb need to "warm up" before it reaches full intensity...beyond a typical few minute startup? I bought a replacement and it was very dim compared to the original. I shut it down rather quickly in exasperation, but am wondering if I should leave it sit for a while...

Thats the most beat up looking projector Ive ever seen. You take that thing off-roading or something?

Nope. was in a house fire and had the mainboard flooded. Figured at the least it was usable to show how to replace the lamp. Everyone knows that Sony isn't for off-roading. That is for NEC's.

That first screw out of the 3 will not unscrew - what to do?

If you mean the screw that holds the door, it might be cross threaded. You may need a wrench or pliers to hold it tight enough to remove.

Has anyone else had any trouble with lamps fitting in their VW40?

Not that I have heard. I know this housing can be a little squirrely getting in straight but nothing about it not fitting. How far is your lamp getting in?
