I just love Snake Plants. I cut the leaf off placed it in water and it grew roots and a whole new baby plant with roots. Amazing! Still working on my Snake Plant collection and have a few on my wishlist.

I found that if repotting a very big snake plant that you do not want to divide, wrapping the leaves tightly together with a soft belt or rope will make it much easier to handle, and all the clumps of leaves won’t fall apart while you try to get them into position. Learned that the hard way!

Mine is fairly tall and many many leaves. I was gifted it awhile ago, and am not a fan of the pot they used, so I want to repot, thank you for the tip. The tallest leaf is about 2½ feet and about 15 leaves. 😬🫣

I have a huge snake plant that was given from my mother and It's probably upwards of 6" tall. The plant is 35 years old and doing well. I know it's time for new soil but I'm not looking forward to repotting.

@@WilliamVG I know what you mean. I have a very tall snake plant and was not looking forward to repotting it. Now I know why. Haha. It was awkward, and so heavy that when I tried to get it out of the original pot and tipped it, a leaf snapped right off. 😐

I really appreciate the information about the plant liking to be root bound and how the roots grow. This helps a lot in trying to figure out which pot size is best!

Living in the Phoenix metro, our homes are extremely low in humidity and excellent for snake plants. I have 13 different varieties scattered around my home, mostly in terracotta. There’s ALWAYS another amazing beauty to be added to my collection! Thank you Ashley for your great tutorial. I buy an organic cactus soil and then add more perlite or pumice or small aquarium rocks for better drainage. I’ll still lose an occasional pup to root rot! Great channel!

snake plants are sooo underrated! they are such amazing plants, and I have several varieties in my home! I don't know if you guys have SuperThrive in the states but I add it to every watering and I always see amazing results! its basically nutrients for your plants without the worry of any fertilizer burn. I'd definitely look into it! Also every time I see you wearing my earrings it makes my whole day! thank you

Thank you 🙏🏻 for all of the information. I have lots of snake plants, but have made many mistakes with these forgiving plants. Why I love them. I will be trying repotme soil to see how my plants respond. 💚

I had all my Sansevierias outdoors this summer. It rained almost every other day . They didn't rot because they're in terracotta and the proper soil. My aloe vera did too ! I must admit it did make me nervous though.

I bet they loved being outside! 💚

Thanks for sharing those tips, I might have missed something, but do you use fertilizer for your plants, and if yes which ones do you use? Also have you tried to use other alternatives to fertilizer, such as the water you used for boiling eggs (to get minerals from the egg shells) or other kind of nutrient rich ideas? Thanks in advance!

I got a big snake plant in a very nice big ceramic pot with a drain hole in the bottom and its standing on a bowl, i've put special cactus sand in it and the stone balls on the bottom of the pot for extra drainage but the pot is rather a bit deep and its also a bit wide but unfortunately the roots are just not growing at all, some leafs started dying and i think its because it didnt have any sunlight and maybe too much water 😬😬 Are there any other reason as to why the roots are not growing and/ or expanding at all?

I have several sansevieria, but don't know the names of several. I was hoping this would be about putting the individual plants to put in new pots. I have trouble getting mine to stay upright without using a limb to hold it. Any suggestions?
