Really creative repurposing of someone else’s trash! Nice job.

Hello Jennifer! What a creative way to salvage a road side find! Those are always the best! I love both the trays and the bench is to die for! I have been busy during my self isolation and redid my craft area. I used Kilz chalk paint in Authentic Navy to repaint my craft table which was bought from a friend of the family. I was impressed with the Kilz. How have you been with staying at home? I've been self isolating for 58 days! Thank goodness I have crafts!! I'll post pictures on Instagram! Hoping you have a gloriously beautiful and blessed day!!

Your friend is one lucky gal Jennifer because this trash definitely turned into a treasure. Nice work by your assistant too! I can’t believe people leave “you shouldn’t have done that” comments! Seriously? If you don’t like something just move on. I’m always amazed by people who feel free to be mean just because they can be anonymous on the internet. (Even Thumper knew that “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”) This piece is perfect in every way. Thanks so much for the inspiration and I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. 🤗 #kindnessmatters

You found that out for trash? Awesome find!! I’m looking for something just like that! I too wanted to make a table out of one if I can find one on market place for a very inexpensive price. I need more space to place decor that you just sit around. I love what you did with this! Awesome that you got two trays out of it too! Those pulls are my favorite too from Home Depot. I agree with you! If someone likes what you did great! If not, no need to bash! We all have our own preferences. When I subscribe to a channel it’s because I share their style. Your friend is blessed to have a friend like you to do something so kind! You put a lot of work into that, and it’s absolutely beautiful!! Thanks for sharing! 😊💕🤗

I use all of our leftover beadboard to make all of my garden signs. Made a Betsy Ross flag one for July 4th and I handpainted sunflowers on one to match my door wreaths for August. 😊 After completed I spray them with 3 coats of polyurethane to protect them from the weather.

That piece was really transformed Jennifer, really nice job! I heard you say something about being roasted in the comments. A couple of the other ladies I like to watch have mentioned something similar. Do people really say negative things to you in the comments? 😠 I am just sick hearing that! People need to get a life! So sorry that happens. I have always gotten great inspiration from you, so thank you for sharing your creativity with us! ❤❤

What an excellent job! I don't tend to distress my furniture. I always feel that life distresses my furniture enough, but I've never thought about it the way you explained it. I can completely understand now why some people distress their furniture. Thanks for giving me another perspective! However, I've never faulted people for distressing. As you say, you do you, I'll do me. :) Also, I wanted to say that I saw the clay based paint used on some of the projects at The Painted South. It looked like it was easy to use and would be handy for certain projects. Can't wait to see what you think. Thanks for sharing.

Love the paint Technique. It’s funny this actual weekend I used Waverley white wax over a somewhat broken pot. I only had the Waverly white wax because I asked for Waverly white chalk paint as my husband was going to Walmart and he thought the wax was the same. It was a good mistake because I decided to try it out. My brother-in-law makes pottery and he lets me go through his graveyard of pottery that doesn’t pass his likeness test. Back to the pot I spray painted it with a gray primer then not knowing the wax was runny yeah! I was not expecting that. It actually worked in my favor because as I was working on the pot I had a fan blowing directly on the pot and multiple spots came out thicker some came out thin it looks amazing. I am heading up Home Depot soon to find the white wax or just order it and I actually want to do the same technique you used with ink and white wax on a few pieces of furniture I found on The side of the road. I want to thank you for your amazing inspiration.

So clever nice find nice flip. When I'm refinishing Furniture I like to use a blower to remove any debris after I've sanded. I'm currently redoing a cabinet with a fold-down desk for my great niece. Her mom picked out Rust-Oleum spray chalk paint. This paint goes on very thin which was surprising because it's chalk paint. Have you ever used spray chalk paint? And if so what is your opinion? After watching your video I think I will add some white wax to this cabinet.😊

Awesome job!! Wow! I'm new to the whole chalk paint and wax after thing. Don't know nothing about it and I've never done it yet. Thank you for showing us the ropes. Love your channel girl. Your a perfectionist like me. I'm soooo like detail in everything I do. So it makes me feel a heck of a lot better to know there are others out there like me. Now I don't feel so weird. Thank you👍💕💕 question..... does it make a difference on what kind of brush you use? Because I've seen people use a round brush? And why is it round? What's it supposed to do that a regular brush won't do?

Little Bit of Calm and Crazy You are such an enabler! I put the nail gun on my Amazon wish list and made the mistake of looking at the list tonight. The price had dropped 20% so into my cart it went. Amazon says it will arrive on Monday. I didn’t order any nails, so a trip to Home Depot is in my future (their price was better than Amazon’s.) And its all your fault!
@karenfree85354 жыл бұрын
Always good to learn something new. Didnt know wax could actually change color of finish....wax needs reapplied in 6 months? Do you just dust it? Use products like pledge? Video was very helpful...
@LittleBitofCalmCrazy4 жыл бұрын
You don't need to wax every 6 month. A polyacrylic would be a stronger finish if you wanted that, but my friend and I know that the pieces will take a beating and it will add to the charm! I dust with either a very damp rag or Method dusting spray... both work great. If used like a bench, I would not use pledge. It would leave a film behind that could get on clothes. 💕
