A year ago you had some postings asking how to clear the "service engine soon" light. Did you ever find an answer? No current maintenance issues need to be addressed and all have been set at a future day, but this light still doesn't go off. Thanks

BMW Team... I own a 645Ci 2005 and I rarely drive the vehicle 35k miles... However, the minimal driving will cause the system to think the emissions are dirty and throws the error code of "Increased Emissions" I do not like lights. Answer, I purchase on Amazon the CreaDor C110 BMW Scanner. Connected with the vehicle running - click Ok, select model, enter diagnostics, select DME, read error and then erase error - DONE!

Hello, please can you HELP ME? When i click on start button i have on display (where is time/date) yellow exclamation mark - Ignitions switched on and doesnt help when i click check or move to date/time. Its just locked to that yellow exclamation mark. When i start car or i just give keys to car i see clasic display - date/time but when i go to this position(startbutton) i cant do nothing. Nadj Gamer Sorry, I am using the check and BC buttons in the beginning to cycle to the screen that I need to be on. After that, you are correct, everything can be done with the trip/odometer reset tool.

When the little triangle with the exclamation point pops up does that mean theres a problem? its not the big red triangle its the little orange one. It shown at 1:32 directly under the date and to the right.

What I found was when the little orange triangle pops up when you turn the car off and remove the key, it will tell you why it was on......like for need gas or windshield wiper fluid are a few that come to mind.

I have been trying to get rid of the tire pressure icon and was hoping this tutorial would do the trick. Seems like its only working for things like oil change, brake fluid etc. Any idea how to clear tire pressure? I think it is a sensor error as my tire pressure looks good when measured manually. My model is 2011 323i.

I've heard the sensors like to go bad do you have run flats if not that can trip the sensor so you could just have it reprogrammed or checked by auto zone don't go to bmw unless you want to pay way too much

tire pressure reset is on idrive screen if you haven't already found it. scroll into car data or click on the I in home screen. somewhere in there you can reset pressure. especially if it keeps saying you have a flare tire ect

Hey TechSauce I have a 2005 BMW 545i Sport that just had the Service Engine Soon light come on today, 09/27/2016. I have followed all the instructions as per your video however the light that comes up first, the triangle with the exclamation point in it is red. All options that can be reset (ie... oil, brakes, emission etc) have been reset yet when the car ignition is turned off and then turned back on and I try to check these the triangle is still red. Also, all services that you can check via the iDrive computer in the command display all say that everything is ok there as well. What am I missing or doing wrong in this situation?

MT4nine1 Tran You can only reset break pads and you need to buy new wear warning on your break pads

How do you turn off the idrive system warnings? I got some stupid one that says Transmission range N. The transmission automatically shifts to P when engine is switched off. Please contact the BMW center as soon as possible." And this message keeps appearing every time I start the car.

That sounds a little more serious than I am comfortable tackling. Have you gone to a certified BMW technician, or done some research on the forums to see if it is serious?

TechSauce hey Yea I just got out of dealer. I guess something was jacked up with the shifter and the fix it via computer software upgrade. Not sure what it was bit I knew I should got a manual transmission and not the DCT

Those DCT transmissions can be tricky. Glad you got it all sorted out. Hope there aren't any future issues, but if so, feel free to comment again and we'll try and figure it out.

for air bag and seat belt you have to replace under the seat passanger the sensor or spend almost 800 dollar in the dealer or buy bypass 55 dollar and fix the problem I did the bypass and my 745i (17 dollar ) and my 530i (55dollar) ....

Hi guys was wondering if anyone can help me i got a 520d msport 57 reg i have this fault come up it says steering lock faulty please dont switch off the engine i have had it reset by local dealer and it worked for a month and now its back i spoke to bmw they say its the steering column and it will cost me £1000 to replace if anyone has any info please help

ismail rashid Have you checked the forums? You will most likely find someone with the same car that has gone through this before. I live on the forums when my 530 is having any sort of issue and always find a fairly reasonable solutions. Best of luck to you!
