How to Reset Forgotten WiFi Router Password

Our video today is all about resetting a wifi router tp-link because I forgot the admin username and password. In some cases, if you want to gain access to an old wifi router that you've forgotten wifi password or the wifi router admin password you can always reset it back to its default factory configuration and use the default access to configure the wifi router to the settings that you want.

changed the admin user and password, then forgot it shortly after. I contacted my ISP about the router dashboard and they neglected its existence... they insisted I call them whenever I want to forward ports. Followed this video and it worked perfectly; It reset everything - admin dashboard user & password, and my WiFi network's name and password. With a little bit of tinkering I was back in and able to configure everything myself & able to forward ports without external assistance. Thank you for saving me the headache... o7

Perfect, it worked for me I had rest my password and forgotten it the same instant and i was locked out of the admin and i couldn't connect to the network due to the new password that was put and forgotten not im back to default and connected Thanks a lot bro i appreciate it

Yes bru, the admin pasword and username does not affect ur internet - its only an authentication for your device for security access

So, do I have to do this every-time I reset my router? Cause, I remember I used to have routers that I would reset them, they would boot up successfully, and I could just go in like normal putting in the password and everything through my wi-fi settings (unless I shouldn't have done that and done it like this like you have it in your video) and it all worked fine. I just wanted to know if this is worth doing, cause I been having a problem with my router with it having the "red light issue" and power cycling just isn't doing it and this looks like my only option. I don't really want to go through any configuration if it's required every-time you reset if that's the case, and for my router I don't have a default gateway and so having to go look for that would be pain.

i know this comment is old... but for anyone wondering i recommend finding your router's model name/serial number, look up the model on google and see if its default passwords are available.
