I have a Brother LC985 with 'memory full' issue. The Brother website is rubbish, so ended up on KZbin. Thanks to your instructions managed to purge it, so thanks! NB for other users: The LC985 has individual number key buttons, but the method & codes are the same as given here.

My inkjet printer is Brother DCP J125, using bypass external ink, it's suddenly can't print, found the orange colored ink mark non-stop flashing on the printer panel, I try to press all the Key, just only can get into the "Maintenance" menu screen can't fix the problem without your Function Code. Like dclinton6, I have the problem too. After you press 99, it reboots, but comes up with the same error again. I checked again that the purge was 0, and exited again... but it still comes with the same error. But even though it didn't work for me (so far at least), it's still a great video :)

Worked for me. Cartridge was empty, supposedly and still had the error after the process, however, I removed the cart, shook it for luck, and put it back in, and the Black cart now showed a small amount of ink. Saved me a nightmare ticket printing rush in the morning.

First off, you have produced an excellent series of videos on all types of printers. That being said, I own a Canon PIXMA MX892 that is displaying the error statement 6C10. Online, Canon says, "take it in to be serviced"; which will likely cost more than the printer to fix. Printer tells me "Printer error has occurred. Turn off power then back on again. If problem persists, see the manual." Well, I did all that and, of course, the manual has no listing for this error code. So, KZbin it is. I found several videos that come close to addressing the issue, but none really do. I even found one that actually describes the correct reset procedure (I think). Yet, no matter how many times I reset it, it does nothing and gives me the same error. I know that the error has to do with the waste ink tanks and the cleaning cycle counter, that needs to be reset. I also know that I should clean the waste tanks if I reset it or it will get messy. Can you shed some light on what it is that I need to do? It is a nice, fairly new printer, I'd had to have to discard it. Thanks for any advice you can give.

The "48" error code relates to the printhead, rather than the ink absorber and this will not help, sadly.

Muchas gracias, fue muy fácil hacerlo reset purge con tus instrucciones, mi impresora tampoco alimentaba las hojas de papel, hice lo mismo con las copias y las paginas con las mismas instrucciones y también se resolvió el problema de alimentación de hojas. The method doesn't work in my Brother printer whatsoever☹️ I want to print but the printer is purging despite the fact that the quality of print is good and it purged a few days ago, the counter shows 00000 as in the tutorial; dcp j315w Poland; there are other entries in maintenance menu - wipe and flush - what about them?

For print quality issues like theis I can only recommend doing some cleaning cycles from your printer/printer software.
