A video on how to reset your tyre pressure light on your Honda Civic 06-11. Quick and easy - no visit needed to the garage or dealership. Some places charge to do this which is disgraceful. 1:02 on wards! Enjoy

For all those who have Hondas in the U.S., I believe I have found the solution. There is a button to the left of the steering wheel called the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) button. I admit that I did not know the name of the button and googled it...LOL.... Anyway, this button is on the dash of the car .. under the ECO button. The icon has the image of a car and a "squiggly line" under the car image. The icon has the word "OFF" on it. While you are driving, hold down the button for several seconds (or keep pressing it). The TPMS message will then go away. I did this and it disappeared. Ironically, it came back on eventually. And I forgot about these steps. When I remembered, I did this again and the message is now gone again. Hopefully the TPMS message stays off. I will keep you posted. A couple of points: 1) I went around a round-about and hit a curb. It was minutes after this happened that the TPMS message came on. I believe one of the sensors in the tire probably was either damaged or jolted in some way to cause the message to come on after I hit the curb. If that's the case, I don't feel to replace the sensor or look into this issue deeper at this moment. I can check my tires the old-fashion way. I would rather get rid of the annoying message for now. 2)Be sure to check that all your tires are at the correct air pressure. Use one of those air pumps with a gauge that are sold at any auto store to check. I have one and it has been a very good tool to keep in the trunk. And also be aware that the TPMS message is different from the LOW AIR Pressure message. The TPMS message pertains to the sensor itself, while the LOW Air Pressure message is about the air pressure being too low in the tire.

Update: I eventually had to replace the sensor at the dealership. Ironically, they had problems resolving the issue, too. They asked me to come back the next after the sensor replacement didn't resolve the issue. After I drove off from the dealership, it reset itself and worked. Prior to the dealership, I went to Goodyear and they replaced the sensor to no avail. (but this shop was also a little incompetent. It was a franchisee-owned Goodyear). In my opinion, this is a workmanship issue with this sensor that it was this complicated to replace. I now own the 2022 Civic ... hopefully, they've addressed the issue (a family member has my old 2013 one).

Hi mate nice video, im going to buy a 2011 honda civic and wanted to ask if you remember the rev counter moving slightly when you are stationary but turn the steering wheel?
@t1mech1ldtc603 жыл бұрын
Yes mine did that … it was strange but a lot of cars do this. It’s probably because the battery loses abit of power whenever the steering angle is changed. This results in the engine having to work harder … kinda like turning on the AC. Whenever I turn on the AC my cars revs increase slightly.

Hey. I just bought this type of Honda. (2006-2011) Si model. Is it possible to see the oil life of the vehicle? or when is the next schedule maintenance? Do we need to keep count of the last oil change or the computer warns us of this??

"It's easy to do' is not very "easy to do" when you do not have the same or similar item. "It's not easy peezy" with a 2008 Honda Hybrid that has no "i" button or TPMS button on the left-hand console.

The US version Civic's don't look a thing like this one.
@t1mech1ldtc604 жыл бұрын
Probably doesn't ... this is the a UK Spec. However look for a menu button on the wheel or dash. Hold it down and you might find this menu with similar information.
@theclearsounds39114 жыл бұрын
@@t1mech1ldtc60 There is no such button or menu on the US version. I was hoping for a way to force my Civic to relearn the TPMS sensors, but no luck without buying an expensive electronic tool.

@Allbbrz8 жыл бұрын
Any menu button ???? still nothing... the available buttons are all dedicated buttons.. so I got tired of all this nonsense, took car to Discount Tire, they checked and we found out that 3 sensors were missing... some idiot previous owner took them away... but left one.. anyway, I had them install 4 new sensors, and all went back in place.
@t1mech1ldtc608 жыл бұрын
... why would you remove the sensors ... the previous owner sounds like a clown to be honest ...
@Allbbrz8 жыл бұрын
I did not... it was one of the two previous owners who did it. All is good now... should be for the next 6 to 7 years....
