How to Reset Waste Ink Pad for Epson EcoTank ET 2760

You are lucky if you get the error. The corner of my ET-2760 was leaking for months and I had no idea what it was, so just put it on a plastic sheet with something to absorb any leaky ink. Today, I got the E-11 error, searched and found this KZbin. The tank on my printer is FULL. And, what a mess. I’ll need more than the solution presented in this video, but thanks for the information.

I have two ecotanks that I use for my home business and one of them completely shut down saying I can no longer print AT ALL. this is holding up my sales!!! since I'm a small business I don't really have extra cash to run out and get a new printer or to take the time to mail it to epson for servicing (which is what they are saying to do) instead I just want to fix it myself. thanks! its way cheaper to just pay that $9.99 to have the software handy to reset my page counter than it is to pay epson to replace it! especially since I can just clean it myself

I have 5 Epson ink tank printers in my office. These are my last Epson printers. My next office printer will be a Brother laser printer. It doesn't have ink to dry out, doesn't have this ink pad to fill up, and always works.

Except now the printers won't work with 3rd party compatible ink, so you have to pay a monthly price for ink subscription from brother, with limited number of prints each month. If you choose not to subscribe, a set of toner cartridges for a color laser brother will run you $300. If you try to use 3rd party compatible cartridges, the cartridge will fit, but the printer will not recognize it as genuine and will therefore lock you out. So be careful, you don't really own your printer, its pretty much like a car lease with limited miles and lots of restrictions.

Yeah I ended up buying waste ink pads on eBay and the software... my printer has been running perfectly ever since. It's insane that Epson's solution was to buy a new printer.

@@amyc9155 The ink pads are basically the same as the pads you use in a aquarium, take them out, rinse them up, let it dry and you can reuse them again.

Isn't there a free way to reset the Counter? It's just a annoying to have to spend even a few bucks. On printers with a chipped box reset is automatic and the box fir a 3760 is less than ten bucks.

I think ET-2800 has a physical chip on it. For those that have chips, software cannot reset the chip.

I purchase and did what you. The ink count is reset. However the ink cartridge doesn't clear the connector you place up in the top of the ink opening. Then you can't put the cover back on. What am I doing wrong? I saw another one of your videos where you just left the ink cartridge out and ran the tubing out through the cover panel. Will this work for this Epson ET-2760?

what I did was drill a small hole in the cover plate and slid the tubing through that, worked perfectly; then I could attach the cover plate properly to the printer again

Genius! I will never buy Epson again. New 2760 died before 1st birthday. Replacement from Epson had ink-pad error death at 8mos. Mind you....less than half tank inks used, so minimal prints. Company reverts to original warranty date so I am screwed....until KEVIN! Yay Kevin!!!!

Is this for the code 000031 and 000041, my heads clogged so i did a deep clean heads. Well now I have these errors. I have cleared any paper block (none) I print for a bit then get these codes. I did look at the waste tank and the material is soaked.

I think ET-2800 uses a physical chip, so you can't do it with software. You can still install a waste tank but you have to depend on buying new chip or till someone figure out how to reset the physical chip.

hey! I have an et2800 as well and had this issue, the printer completely stopped working because it was full and won't let me continue. i did a lot of research and found many people recommended a software called "WIC reset utility". I tried it and it worked! The first time you use it, it'll allow you to reset to 80% for free (of course this isn't ideal, but 80% will at least allow you to keep printing for a short while until you figure out how to empty the pad). after that you can pay for a key code each time you need to reset it, but even still the key codes are CHEAPER than paying epson to fix it for you. just remember though that you really do need to take the pad out and clean it, it will overfill and leak at some point if you dont!

Spidermites, try few drops of dish soap with water in a spay bottle. Make sure to spay under the leaves and spray the dirt as well. good luck.

I'm from Argentina, currently I'm using WF-C5290 with chipless solution but I would need to move to start using WF-6090. Problem is Chipless solution is not working fine for that model and it's difficult to find ink cartridges chip resetters. Is that difficult to create my own chip ressetter? do you know about someone capable of helping to get a working chip resetter for WF-6090 cartridges?

i wish somone would make a video on how to remove and replace the waste ink assembly unit that sends the ink to the waste ink tank. Specifically im talking about for the Epson WF-7710 or WF-7720. Theres tons of videos on replacing the empty tank in the back but not on replacing the waste ink assembly unit which is what is directly under the print head and can get clogged with 3rd party ink particles over time.

Thanks for the useful video which learns good things about the waste inkpads. Anyway, I just find it excessive to ask people to pay $10 each time they require to reset the waste inkpad counter which is in fact a planned obsolescence set up by Epson. Epson should be blamed for such practices. The BCH software simply reset the counter using the Epson firmware. According to me, the software should be purchased $10 once but not each time. People should know that if Epson head cleaning is blocked by a 100% use counter, they could also inject warm distilled water with a syringe in order to unblock the print heads. This is very inexpensive and efficent method.

i tried separating the the scanner without totally disassembling it and used a vacuum from partial opening but after i turned it back on, the scanner assembly was not able to move that causes an error during start up and printer system can no longer continue to boot up..

One thing I’m going to say that really pisses me off to no end. I have Mac. and you can not reset with Mac. To make it worse I called Epson directly and basically they said pound sand, we will send to a list of authorized repair companies and guess what? There is not one in Arizona! Now will I buy another Epson product? Heck no! But I might get a stinking Widows computer of which I will use for situations such as this! Epson sucks wind! BTW, No you do not always get a warning, mine stopped in the middle of an important print job!

No, you will need to pay them each time. They basically reversed engineered the reset mechanism from the official Epson tool and selling it with a good profit.
