is there a way to only keep certain files because there is some files i want to keep but most i dont want to keep and my pc has been running slow lately so i dont want to keep most of my files

Yes back these files that you want to keep up to an external drive or usb and then put them back after reinstalling the system.

If there are different users on the computer from a domain prospective, will the files in each user account/ profile be saved when restored ?

They should be but, if you are having to reset Windows then you should make sure you have a backup of anything important just incase the reset fails.

Does restore mean keep apps

If you are referring to a system restore this should restore your system to an earlier date. It should keep everything that was installed on the date you choose to restore to, however please make sure you have a backup of anything important as there is always a chance you could encounter a problem.

I am afraid not, you will need to take your computer to a repair shop and ask them to reset your password or use a bootcd or usb with a password reset tool.
