BIG DISCLAIMER: If you erase the account and keep the games, you can't play them afterwords. So if you're trying to keep them to give to the xbox to a buddy or to sell it with games, they're not gonna work. I just found that out. Since I'm getting so many replies with this. To clarify, games stay with accounts. If you log back in, you have access to all your games. If the account doesn't belong to you, once you erase the account, all the games don't work anymore.

@@juan-hw6xg Yeah it sucks. I resell them, and a lot of people leave their accounts on there. Some people reset it and leave the games only on there, but they're useless if you take the account off, so I just erase everything after that. The games are tied to the account, so as soon as you remove the account, every time you try to play it asks you to log in.

I did this and exactly like this after watching another video but now my games won’t even start up. It says they’re on my internal and external hard drive but when I go to them it asks me if I own the game and takes me to the Microsoft store to manage the game and install but when I do there isn’t really an option to install the games it just doesn’t do anything. Any help?

Sometimes my games and apps will disappear and my external hard drive won’t load all the games so I just unplugged the hard drive and plugged it back in. Idk if this is the exact issue you are facing though

Did some research I found it’s because my system is dirty internally especially where the disc goes. Best solution is to send it to Microsoft to have it serviced using your Microsoft account.

I did this too and the exact same problem is happening to me too, but I don't have any external hardrive. (I didn't save any of my games or anything to a USB hardrive; if that's what you're referring too). My Xbox still has the games downloaded, but I can't actually play some of them. For exple, I tried loading up minecraft and it says: DO you own this game or app? If you bought this online, make sure your signed in. If you don't have rights for playing it, you'll need to get it at the Microsoft store. Even though i already bought it before i factory reseted, i now have to rebuy the game even though I already bought it. Any help or splutions?

@@jddeel4662 Hey, so my console ended needing to be cleaned out especially where the disc is inserted every time I inserted a game it’d come out with a dirt ring on it. Best bet is to send it in to Microsoft to have it internally cleaned if you think this is the same problem you’re having. If you don’t have warranty for it to be serviced you can easily find a local electronic repair spot that offers console cleaning services.

Bruh your in my exact position my hard drive been fine and then all of a sudden for like 2 weeks it's slowly stopped working idk if its an issue on my end (I.E.
