Never put the sand into the stone dry all that will happen is the sand will sink to the bottom of the mixer pan and will be unevenly mixed causing colour differences. the sand also offers a smaller binder and strength agent so put it in once the resins in and definitelynot before.

Little tips, use a spray bottle to coat the trowels much easier, when mixing use a square edge bucket trowel, gets all the resin out quicktime and with the antislip crushed glass, buy a plastering bucket to stick the big bag in and use a small container to scoop out what you need, itll be a lot easier to use and transport, £10 disposable garden spray bottle from B&Q for the primer aswell, you get full coverage and easy to control :)

I lost my dad and my brother who was born 1971 a few years back and I try and do all the work on my house.. but this is something I’d love to do but I have a huge drive and walking/parking area around the whole detached family house so I’m guessing it would cost a bomb! 😢 I’m in Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey so if anyone knows any companies who can do this let me know!

I was under the impression resin bound should be done over concrete ideally because tarmac still has some movement in it ?
@rickyjones86083 жыл бұрын
Tarmac is suds compliant so is resin bound which makes it a perfect foundation as it's ideally designed for this
@amateurvegan26363 жыл бұрын
@@rickyjones8608 I’m by no means an expert, all the experts I have spoken to though have said concrete is the best base for resin bound. Tarmac is probably fine with a good enough well compact base though I’m sure.
