HOW TO RESIST THE MONSTERS FROM THE PIT OF REVELATION 9 (ROK-29)

Before we return to Revelation 9, which opens one of the darkest chapters of the Bible, we should ask ourselves why we would even want to study through this chapter. Why do we need to study what God says about Satan, demons, and the bottomless pit? Is that something that believers in the 21st century really need to know?
The answer to all those questions is the same. A resounding YES. The truth is that God has warned us about our Adversary Satan (that, by the way, is the meaning of the name Satan, “adversary”), and commanded us to be on guard against him.
On this Sunday morning, in a historic, evangelical, Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church, Most of us know far too little about the tactics, strategies, and methods of Satan.
Beware of Satan’s Plans for Believers
The bottom line is that if we are going to be on guard against our adversary, we need to know how to recognize his presence, face his onslaughts, and overcome his attacks against us in the ways that God, through His Word, instructs us.
In Revelation 9, we will be taught an immense amount about the unseen and horrifically powerful kingdom of darkness, shaping everything around us, more each day, against the God we love, serve, and belong to. But before we dive into all that, we need to see why we even need to know all this.
Join me in 1 Peter 5 this morning as we enter the cosmic conflict and understand what we will face more each day as we live in these times God calls the “last days.”
1 Peter 5:8-9 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

The bottomless pit, to my Biblical thinking, is the home of the dead. It is where Jesus went when he died to show us the way out. If we enter spiritually whole, according to Jesus' teaching, we can be reborn to a new vessel. We can also rest in the ether until Judgement, else we can enter the bottomless pit. All of those in the pit will be released in the run up to Judgement and much of what we are seeing around us today will be the result. It's all part of a bigger plan...part of the great tribulations... Many of them could be saved, it is their last chance.

This verse says Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb when it was dark and the tomb was empty. Making a Sunday Sunrise Resurrection Scripturally, very difficult. How do you read it? Peace

Satan tried that and his final destination is the lake of fire. Eve thought it would be a good thing to have the knowledge of good and evil so she could be like God and she and Adam are responsible for our sin nature. There is a God who is separate from us who knows everything we do and say. All of your words saying you are God is by the Bible wicked and it will condemn you.
