Great video! I never thought of using citric acid but it makes sense, it is used in industry for stainless steel passivation (it removes the rust and helps regenerate the protective coating).

Can you use vinegar instead of citric acid?

To restore a damaged wok, we recommend using citric acid. Please watch the following video on our KZbin channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXKzi4eQmbtmfa8.

Tried and it ate into the iron!! Citric acid is the best way to do this without destroying the pan!! Can find it in the laundry isle as well!

If I don’t have critic acid is another way Mike baking soda or something I may already have in the house
@Yosukata2 ай бұрын
Baking soda can be used to clean a rusty wok, although citric acid is more effective at dealing with rust due to its acidic nature. Which is not the case with baking soda.
