I have a 39...40ish remington noiseless model 7 that needs new feed rollers, and I was wondering (since I read above that the gentleman you got yours from has passed) of you have any other resources to find them? Steve Dade, who has since passed. I can and do recommend JJ Short Associates in Macedon, NY as a worthy substitute. Perhaps others here in the community can also chime in with recommendations.

How do you insert the paper pan? I’m having trouble myself?

Hi Anthony. If I recall correctly, getting the paper pan back in was one of the most complicated and confounding parts of this job. I sort of had to muscle it back into place by bending the tabs that lock onto the metal struts so the pan would seat, then bending the struts back again. Not an optimal solution but it worked. Again, if memory serves, I used a pair of needle-nose pliers. If you attempt this, obviously you want to take care not to over-form the material. Metal gets brittle with age so be gentle. I hope this helps.

Hi, Shnickelberry Films. The platen came from JJ Short Associates right here in New York state. The feet and feed rollers were done by Steve Dade in California who, sadly, passed not long ago.
