I couldn’t get this way to work from the lock screen using the “shift” key on the left would not bring up the “troubleshooting” option. But when I used the “shift” key on the right side it finally worked! Just FYI for anyone that maybe having issue’s.

great video but when I done my same laptop I have done everything on this video and but on start up to get back it stops on the hi there 6:16 on video when I push next it says why is my laptop restarting then just restarts the laptop and I have to go back to the hi there part again need help if possible

I just did the shift hold and power.. found reset... went thru step to rest options...keep files. Or.reset all. I rest all. But but computer just shut down.. only to cut back on .. goes to dell logo on screen then.. to black screen with dots swirling.. for a very long time.. until it goes blank then right back to locked password screen
